OpenMSD: Floodplain Board

The MSD Floodplain Board is defined by Louisville/Jefferson County Metro Government Code of Ordinances No. 125, Series 2005, Section 157.02, as the MSD Board.

The Floodplain Board may grant or deny requests for variances from the Louisville Metro Floodplain Management Ordinance (a copy of the of which is available here) upon application, after public hearing, and subject to procedural and substantive standards as set forth in Section 157. In addition, the Floodplain Board may hold a hearing, issue findings and penalties regarding a citation issued for a development that is not in accordance with the provisions of Section 157. Meetings of the Floodplain Board are not held on a regular or consistent basis but when there are items that require their attention. More information about the MSD Board is available here.

When are Floodplain Board meetings held?
Meetings are held in the MSD Board room at 700 West Liberty Street, usually right after a monthly scheduled Board meeting.
